Question:
Is it possible to get AC Mister to use less water?Answer:
We do have mister heads available that use about 1/2 gallon per hour and
that may be all that is needed for window units. We do not recommend
these heads for larger units even though water usage would be reduced.
Replacement is a simple operation and these smaller use mister heads are
available on the web site as optional equipment. Also, see answer to
next question.
Question:
Is there any way to automatically turn the water off and on based on the
compressor cycles?
Answer:
Yes, we have a solenoid-operated water valve which will automatically
turn off the water supply when the compressor is not running. See
product listing for this item.
Question:
What should I do with my AC Mister during the off season?
Answer:
We recommend that you disconnect your AC Mister at the water source and
loosen the end plug to relieve water pressure.
Question:
What should I do when it rains?
Answer:
If you have a solenoid valve, do not take any action. If not, you may
turn off the water or leave it on at your own discretion. The water
usage will be minimal at this time.
Question:
What about heat pumps?
Answer:
In a cooling cycle a heat pump is simply an air conditioner and should
be so treated.
